2Entertain is releasing the R2 DVD on September 4.
A lot of the credit goes to Peter Watson and Charlotte White for all the legwork, letter-writing and petition they did on behalf of the series!
For those of you in the US and Canada who would like to see this series in R1 format, the fax number for BBC Worldwide America is 1-212-888-0576. According to the BBC, this is the office that will decide on the release. Please send a fax requesting this title if you would like to see it released.

"Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'The Legend of Robin Hood'.
I gather you are keen to know if this programme will be released a 'Region 1' DVD at anytime soon.
I am currently unaware of any plans to release this series. However, if you would like to make a suggestion for its release, I would suggest you put it in writing to BBC Worldwide who are responsible for the commercial release of all BBC products.
